A Company of Technological Base in the INT

TechMat - Technology of Materials, a company of technological base from the Group of Technological Partnerships of the National Institute of Technology - INT.

The National Institute of Technology - INT is situated in the Rio De Janeiro City and is a technological institution of more than 70 years come back to serve to the Society. The INT acts using modern instruments of public administration in the areas associates to the technology of materials, industrial chemistry and industrial engineering.

The TechMat has for main objective to act in the production of ceramic products special, the order of the customer, from the technologies associates to the molding for ceramic injection at low pressures, as for example, in ceramic substracts for the area mechanical electro-electronics, stamps, injector peaks, etc.. and, to act in the path of products for laboratories, supplying the competitive prices with the imported ones, special products such as alumina crucibles of raised pureness and upper properties.

Technological Qualification

Fruit of the work of more than ten years of performance in the field of the processed ceramic materials special for structural ends, the INT today makes use of one sophisticated technology in the field of the processing and evaluation of special properties of ceramic materials for structural applications, as many oxides, ceramic composites and covalents, that the necessary one allows to the enterprise arrives in port technological to the intended objectives.

The Technology

The technological ways where if it centers the enterprise is of the ceramic processing from the technologies the associates to the suspensions that, in function of the nature of the products that if produces, are backing, that is, the processing technology involving the casting of slurry and the technology of processing involving the ceramic injection molding at low pressures. Both the technologies allow the attainment of products in seriate scale, in its almost final form (to near net shape), characterized for the complexity of form and the low cost of production. Some examples of the diversity of special ceramic products are presented, where it is distinguished complexity and variability of the size of the parts.
